He blends a variety of influences, notably Rembrandt and the French Impressionists. The Atlas Society Senior Scholar Dr. Stephen Hicks is a professor of philosophy at Rockford University as well as the Director of the Center for Ethics and Entrepreneurship. Professor Hicks has written a number of books, including Explaining Postmodernism (he also just wrote the intro to our just released Pocket Guide to Postmodernism). “Newberry’s work speaks to the senses, the intellect, and the passions of those who do not need the judgment of history to tell them what is great, but who can themselves make the judgment of history today.” –Dr. Hicks
